The Order Entry Specialist (OES) is primarily responsible for maintaining the Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) by entering orders, confirming pricing and bringing customer account information up to date. The OES prepares purchase orders for entry into the ERP system by confirming contact name, address, part numbers and pricing. After reviewing orders for deficiencies the OES inputs orders into the ERP system.
Order entry at Dorner Mfg. Corp is a semi-customer facing position. The OES communicates with internal and external customers using the phone, email and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The OES is key to Dorner’s manufacturing process, they are the initial phase of purchasing and manufacturing. By entering the order accurately and efficiently all other functions gain a higher probability of success.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Possesses customer-focused attitude (internal and external customers).
- Practices safe work habits and adheres to safety policies.
- Familiarity with Epicor a major plus
